Quiet week on delivery — no movement on any active packaging or sample workstreams. The only traffic was a new intro thread: Andrew connected Gary Bryman (FLWRCRT co-founder, Venice/LA, PST) with Dan on "FLWRCRT x Cannabis Creative." Gary pushed for the earliest possible slot, we offered 11:15 AM PST and he confirmed, and he said he'd send FLWRCRT's NDA for review and signature ahead of the call. Andrew was moved to BCC. Nothing new on quantities or launch dates for the Colorado pilot, no tracking for the resent ceramic samples, and our overdue items (preliminary packaging proposal + timeline, tin concept/regulatory feedback, written recaps, and a written position on the F&F SAFE) all remain outstanding.
Effectively no project movement this week — the only traffic was calendar logistics for the MONARCH x FLWRCRT call on Tue Aug 4, 5:30–6:00pm EDT. Gary asked us to add Leo@prettywellfit.com to the invite and Andrew confirmed it was sent. Nothing was heard afterward: no recap, no preliminary tin packaging proposal or timeline, no tin concept/regulatory feedback, no written position on the $500K F&F SAFE, and no tracking for the resent ceramic FLWRCRT samples. All four open cases remain where they were, and our overdue deliverables from the prior week (promised end of week 7/31) are now more than a week late.
Quiet week driven by Gary chasing the preliminary packaging proposal and a ceramic sample mix-up. On 7/27 Gary asked for an ETA on the prelim proposal, noting two customers ready to run a pilot and asking whether a limited domestic pilot packaging run could be done to start testing while final volume packaging is developed; Andrew replied the same morning that he was tied up until Thursday and committed to proposals by end of week. The Hazleton package was retrieved, but on 7/30 Andrew reported it contained only a single Elektra unit — no ceramics. Gary first said (8/1) the FLWRCRTs were tucked inside the Elektra box for protection, then on 8/2 conceded the mistake and said he is resending the ceramics (no new tracking provided yet). The proposal did not go out by the promised end of week, and there was still no written response on the tin concepts, regulatory guidance on flower imagery, or the F&F SAFE.
Gary re-engaged Monday 7/20 and we had a phone call that afternoon. Coming out of it, we asked for a dozen ceramic FLWRCRT samples, which Gary shipped same day USPS Priority Express to the Hazleton PA address (tracking 9470150206217001369087) — as of 7/26 they are sitting at the post office awaiting pickup. Gary also sent a detailed creative brief plus first-pass concept images for a universal branded tin intended to cover both D2C SKUs and the single empty B2B FLWRCRT sold through POP displays (ceramic and wood directions, plus a no-real-flower alternative using galaxies/embers/smoke imagery), along with locking insert, back panel and POP display concepts. He explicitly flagged an open regulatory question on whether real flower can be shown on-pack across states/retail channels and asked for our view on visual, structural and production direction. On 7/26 he chased for an ETA on our preliminary packaging proposal, saying two customers are ready to run pilots and he needs to back into a packaging timeline — and floated a limited domestic pilot packaging run to start testing while proper volume packaging is developed. The F&F SAFE thread remains the email subject line but no new terms moved; still $500K at a $5M post-money cap, 25% discount, $25K minimum.
Quiet week on execution — no quotes, samples, or specs moved. Gary confirmed the Tuesday 10:30am call on the FLWRCRT packaging direction (category education "How it works" + "Choose Your Experience"), and the call appears to have happened (his 6/30 note opens with "always great connecting"). No packaging outputs, dielines, quantities, or pricing came out of it in writing. The follow-up email instead pivoted to fundraising: Gary sent an investor overview for a $500K Friends & Family SAFE at a $5M post-money cap with a 25% discount, $25K minimum, personalized link for Andrew Lee. Stated use of funds includes Colorado pilots, initial inventory, packaging, and the DTC site — i.e., the packaging program we'd be quoting is tied to this round closing. We owe Gary a response on both the packaging next steps (specs/quantities to quote against) and the investment ask.
